  •  FL Attorney General needs to be a high priority (21+ / 0-)

Pan Bondi is one of the absolute worst AG's in the country.  Recently she re-scheduled an execution to attend a fundraising event.  She's also done everything possible to hamper health care reform in Florida.

    •  Never going to happen unless there is a (0+ / 0-)

groundswell of support for a Democratic governor in north Florida.

      •  ??? (6+ / 0-)

Most of the state population is in Central, West Central, and South Florida. Fifty or a hundred years ago North Florida was dominant, but that is not the case today. Charlie Crist is expected to announce Monday that he's running for governor, and even with all his "baggage" he looks likely to kick Rick Scott's butt.

The real problem is that we need a credible candidate for Attorney General. There is a Democratic candidate, but I believe he is someone who just resigned from a Washington agency and his name recognition is zip (I don't remember his name, for instance).

Sheldon, 66, said he'll make Bondi's opposition of the Affordable Care Act and concerns raised about her fundraising top issues in his campaign.
Bondi is an idiot. A dangerous, useful idiot to the GOP machine down here. She's got to go, yesterday.

        Thanks for the link!

scumbag?  She strikes me as at least street smart, in that feral way too many candidates are.  And never underestimate the power of physical attraction.

Wonder if there's a portrait hidden somewhere in her home?

          •  Nah (0+ / 0-)

I don't think "street smart" would push an execution back for a freakin' fund raiser. Unless she lets others "handle" everything for her.

In which case, she really is an idiot. And--truly, the two things aren't mutually exclusive, anyway She's a political scumbag who happens to be an idiot. Those are the worst kind, IMO.

get away with.  A lot.  How many FLers are even upset with her predations?  She's shit on whistlers blowers, homeowners, and who else?  She doesn't seem to have the smallest respect for the law.

That fundraiser she re-scheduled an execution for:

Bondi's campaign reported that she raised almost $140,000 at the fundraiser.[18]

are not real happy with her. Granted, it's been awhile since I had much direct involvement of the "money" part of a fundraiser, but 140k doesn't sound like a big night to me.

And willya look at this? Bondi's even making waves in the Cuccinelli race in Virginia!

.... Here are a few things you might want to know about Bondi.

*Trump contribution to Pam Bondi's re-election draws more scrutiny to her fundraising: "Bondi apologized last month after she persuaded Gov. Rick Scott to delay an execution so she could host a fundraiser at her South Tampa home that ended up raising $140,000. Now comes criticism of a $25,000 contribution made by one of Donald Trump's foundations to a political committee associated with Bondi. The donation came three days after an Attorney General's office spokeswoman said Bondi was reviewing allegations in a lawsuit filed by the New York attorney general against get-rich-quick seminars associated with Trump."

*She says "I believe that the federal healthcare mandate is unconstitutional, and I absolutely support the current lawsuit to stop the mandate." (Note that the Supreme Court said the individual mandate - originally a conservative idea, by the way - was CONSTITUTIONAL.)

*Sarah Palin endorses Pam Bondi for attorney general ("'I'm so very proud to be endorsed by such a strong Christian woman who loves her family and her country and is a true role model,' Bondi said."

Oh, goody! Maybe Caribou Barbie will spew so much stench on Bondi she'll become completely untouchable...

of attraction.  But, you know, someone who has that has to know how to get the most out of it and Bondi does.  I worked with a woman who was stunning, and who had an idea of that by the way other people, especially male other people, reacted to her, but she made only  the slightest and smallest personal use of it.  For all her head turning looks, she didn't really believe in herself that way and couldn't, therefore, leverage her looks.

Attractive women who know how to use their looks, whatever you may think of the use, are not dumb.  Speaking of which, Ken Cuccinelli is a studly looker and he's made very good use of his Steve Stunning mug--altho looking a bit shopworn and weary these days.  Ain't just women who work the looks.
