    I went on the site and saw this:

    Anthem Multi State Plan Bronze 60 PPO

    Looks like your medical and drug deductible are one and the same so you would be in the boat as you indicated.  However, the fight isn't over.  You can check to see if the plan has better negotiated pricing for your meds than you are paying, especially if you have the ability to down tier.

    Anthem may even offer their own mail in service through the plan that may extend to you negotiated prices.  I would call them to discuss since your med cost is significant and is a key piece of your healthcare puzzle.

      Also, shop around if you are in the deductible phase. I had to switch one prescription to Costco (that was the only one my usual pharmacy had a bad non-competitive price on).

      So there are the negotiated prices and there is the variation among pharmacies.  Always check both before you get depressed. You can save big, on this one drug I am saving $40 a month. I will be checking mail order as well.
