      Why is he so popular?

(aka. "He can do no wrong.")

It's a Jersey thing. But, since you asked. . .

Only in Jersey, would such a bigger-than-life story-teller, stay a popular as he is.  Just because ... "he's so authentic."
I'll respond by saying that Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Mississippi, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming all have Republican Governors.

So, what I'm "just sayin'," is go easy on the "only in Jersey. "

        It's debatable.

you know like "being from Detroit,"

which I know something about too.

Sorry, I did not mean any offense,

Just wish more NJ citizens would give the Dem Candidate "a fighting chance"

Like by watching the debates, and stuff.

Why is Christe {insert other Red State Guvs here} such a "foregone conclusion" ...

          •  Buono would need to be stronger. (3+ / 0-)

He's gained some general support by being a good Governor during Sandy. Think Bush with a bullhorn.

It's been a year and there are tons of problems with the execution of the "post hug" solutions.

I haven't heard Buono coming out to suggest a better option. She hasn't attacked him on the fact that so many are still stuck in a quagmire of federal and state "solutions."

There is a major crisis in management that is not being leveraged to oust Christie. I'm not sure who to blame, but I hesitate to blame the people of New Jersey.

Our Democratic "machine" didn't fire up for this and that's the problem.

Foregone conclusion? I'm not smoking cigars with the bosses who make that decision. I see that you're frustrated, but perhaps it's a "keeping the powder dry" decision.

Do I agree? No, but the election is next week. Hug-gate won't change that.

he behaves like a bully.  He talks loud, and acts like an asshole.

That is, in a lot of ways very New Jersey.

        Shrug.

        •  eh! (0+ / 0-)

that sounds like the New Yorkers, I've met.

Maryland to Maine. The whole NorthEast. Not everyone, but enough so that individuals don't stand out.
I can tell when I'm getting closer to home by the way people drive. Somewhere around Scranton PA, I start getting cut off and flipped off and I know, I have only a couple hours  to my driveway.

If I ran this circus, things would be DIFFERENT!

Ahhh...East Coast drivers.  No morning commute is complete without a healthy dose of "get the fuck outta my way" attitude.

I have spent all my life in either NY, NJ and PA..I love it and hate it at the same time.  I have to remember to lovingly toot my horn at someone after I finish riding their ass on my way home today  LOL.
