    is the fallout.
    (sorry, couldn't resist)
Reid isn't holding off on filibuster reform not because he doesn't want to hurt the Republican fee-fees.
He needs enough guaranteed Democratic votes to pass it, and a lot of senators are leery of changing one of the most hallowed, if abused, privileges of the post.
Once they take away the filibuster from the Republicans, the thinking goes, what's to keep them from taking it away from us the next time they are in power?
This ignores the fact that the current GOP would do that in a heart beat just for laughs
The problem is senators tend to be conservative in the old school use of the word.
On the other hand, the Republicans have definitely over played any hand they may have ever held, and I believe that the Democrats are tired enough of the bullshit to pull the trigger at long last.

I've gotta learn some new swear words, cause the old ones just aren't cutting it in this situation.

If the Republicans control the Senate then they should have that power.
I don't understand how the fillibuster makes any sense.
We have a President elected by majority rule, Supreme Court works by majority rule, House works by majority.
So why should they have this strange fillibuster concept?
