when up there for a couple of months recently.

The local tribal leaders and members were regularly interviewed on the radio about various issues..and I was really struck at their down, beaten, yet resolute sounding dialog.

Being from socal I normally hear LA people of color, long experienced fighting with and often being tromped by The Man, but the American Indians I heard on the radio just struck me as far far more stomped sounding, whatever that means to you, I know what I meant,  I think..

and of course both people of color in the LA area and the American Indian people in northern california are working and organizing on many fronts, and doing well at that in spite of the oppressions and economic and actual warfare historically and recently visited upon them...

Their work and energy devoted to environmental issues I especially noticed as we have also seen here on dkos.

no great insight, not really articulate.... I'm just sayin'....

    This machine kills Fascists.
