First Responders Bill to get through Congress.

So what's the hold up, on the Senate's approving it?

New York City Firemen saved my live twice when I lived in NYC. Way back in the 1970's, when I was young and not dumb, just stupid.

In a tenement slum. The fire was on the third floor, we were on the fifth.

The Firemen ran up, past us coming down at the third floor.

They said "Hurry Up, Hurry Up; Get Out, Get Out, The Whole Thing Could Go"!

That tinder box, a 125 yr old building (back then), sure could have!

My Father Was A Fireman In Bayonne, NJ (Hudson County) In The 1930's. (He Drove The Pump Truck).

These Firemen put out a massive Standard Oil Fire, (tanks) that ran the length of my three-mile long, one-mile wide town!

The Port Authority Police were like my babysitters when I was a teenager in the late sixties.

I used to panhandle in there. They'd chase me all over but never quite catch me. Even the old building on 42St was huge.

I'd go downstairs if the chased me upstairs. Upstairs if they chased me downstairs to the basement/subway level if they had chased me everywhere else. Then back again next day to do the same.

I had lot's of babysitters with the NYC Cops too. In my day they were all really nice guys.

I just tell it like it is. People can interpret it any way they want to.

It Is Who I Am. Blame my Mother and Father and The Port Authority And New York City Police, who spoiled me!
