...sanity is a relative term. It's subjective and defined in the eye of the beholder. Extreme behaviors make some things seem benign side by side. A hundred degree day on Earth is temporate, if not mild compared to a thousand degree day on Mercury. In war, a pilot who strafes enemy troops in open ground is lauded, while the same pilot who did it to friendlies would face our wrath. Likewise, a man who protects a crowd from a cold-blooded, gun-toting murderer is a hero.

When did we go nuts? Personally, man's inhumanity to man drives me batshit crazy. Does that mean I'm too unstable to own and carry a firearm? Not hardly. Just as long as I don't cross-over the fine line of "normal" behavior into the dark shadows of what any reasonable person sitting on a jury of my peers would say is true insanity. Thus, the extraordinary need to re-define the 2nd Amendment as it relates to the 21st Century. Do that without causing Civil War re-duxed and you'd be a genius, not to mention quite a rich and very popular man.
