Well it would be nice if there was a paper that would support  that. I've actually worked in more newsrooms than Glenn Greenwald. I probably know more about how they're strong and how they fail than he does.

the business. Glenn's still pretty new at this. He's more of an analyst/editorial kind of guy. I'm sure that he's gotten some great advice from many pros, and will hire some of them. Also, agreed on that hot OWS woman.

...there isn't really that much money in real journalism. All the money is in toadying and lying. Or why are Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh multimillionaires? It pays better to be a republican mouthpiece. It hardly pays at all to be principled. But they won't have the problems of the Guardian. There won't be a print component bleeding the trust fund dry. •  The problem isn't whether Glenn is materialistic.. (0+ / 0-)

...the question is whether Pierre realizes that he might not get that $250 million back. From what I've read he wanted his Hawaii press model to be a self sustaining business. It might be able to break even but profitable? Writing honestly about power? Also, what's the time frame for self sustainability? Five years? Ten? I am thinking about how that could work for a longer piece that I'm doing...
