  •  My nephew tried to deep fry a Thxgiving turkey (0+ / 0-)

    in his driveway one year.
He brought it inside. The skin was crispy, just like I liked it. He asked me to do the honors. I took one slice and the turkey sort of collapsed. I mean, it was wooden in consistency and there wasn't much of it there.

We reassured him it was worth the try and my wife's family also always has a ham with the turkey on Thanksgiving, so all was not lost.

The family, until two years ago, had the added benefit that Grampa owned a pizza shop that also sold other Italian dishes. Papa Frank catered a LOT of family gatherings, God rest him.

Peace is not merely a distant goal that we seek, but a means by which we arrive at that goal. - Martin Luther King, Jr.
