for years Glenn has said that the word terrorism is meaningless because meaning changed to meet the circumstances

now that journalism is called terrorism in the Miranda case, we have proof that it is meaningless

    Glenn Greenwald ‏@ggreenwald 2 Nov

All these years I've been arguing "terrorism" is an empty term manipulated by US/UK Govts: never had proof like this:

    Glenn Greenwald ‏@ggreenwald 2 Nov

UK Govt beats its mighty chest, now explicitly equates journalism with "terrorism" and "espionage"

    Jon Schwarz ‏@tinyrevolution 2 Nov

The US/UK definition of "terrorism" used to be "violence we don't like." Now it's just "anything we don't like":

and the next tweet (all fom Glenn's twitter) ff you follow the State Deparment Link they are saying they are standing with journalists against the governments they criticize

"Many [governments] misuse terrorism laws to prosecute and imprison journalists"—U.S. State Department, April 4, 2013

sweet - publishing govnt secrets is terrorism!!!
    Matt Apuzzo ‏@mattapuzzo 2 Nov

It was only a matter of time. Publishing government secrets is finally labeled "terrorism."

@ggreenwald Calling journalism that reveals vast state surveillance of citizens "terrorism" is something that belongs in an Orwell novel.

Great multi-media, interactive guide from the Guardian about what NSA stories mean for you

people DK are trying to influence the government so watch out for being called a terrorist. We already fit the bill by demonstrating with OWS
    Ben Wizner ‏@benwizner 2 Nov

.@mattapuzzo @ggreenwald Relax, everyone. You're not terrorists unless you try "to influence a government." Just type what you're told.

Webster's new definition of terrorism is a blank space for governments to fill in the blank as they deem applicable

If David Miranda is a 'terrorist' & spy for carrying GCHQ docs, what is the NYT for possessing & publishing them

Der Spiegel devotes its entire issue this week to Germans arguing in favor of asylum for Edward Snowden

glenn's twitter is now over 292,000 followers. It was less than 150,000 when Snowden articles started being published

this is the biggest political story of my lifetime
