Miranda was not arrested, in case you didn't notice.  He was detained, investigated and released.

You ask me to cite where Greenwald proclaimed Miranda a journalist.  I suggest you read the headline of this diary:

David Miranda is not, and has never been, a journalist.  Claiming a courier is a journalist is like claiming the guy who sells you your newspaper or drives the truck that carries it is a journalist.

Greenwald, of course, is an incredible fantasist who turns every action by a government investigating stolen documents into some cartoon silencing of dissent narrative.

that FedEx/DHL/UPS planes are detained "all the time" if there is stolen cargo on it.

and who said Miranda was arrested? that's a new topic you are trying to introduce (or use to change the subject...)

      and you said:

The fact Greenwald has to lie and proclaim Miranda a journalist shows you what Greenwald is.
then as your backing evidence you cite the title of this diary? i was not aware that PhilJD - the diarist - was Glenn Greenwald. i consider Phil a friend, so this is a surprising turn.

to sum up - you have no evidence to back the 2 claims i questioned you on. that's pretty much what i thought, as those claims look pretty false on their face. not surprising you couldn't back either.

also, an aside - the "stolen" goods were not stolen from the UK and as such they weren't the UK's stolen goods and as far as they say, they did not turn them over to the US, as one would think that such "stolen" property would be. just something to think about. you must miss Reggid, eh?

        From the article:

In an email to Reuters, Greenwald condemned the British government for labeling his partner's actions "terrorism."

"For all the lecturing it doles out to the world about press freedoms, the UK offers virtually none...They are absolutely and explicitly equating terrorism with journalism," he said.

Ipso facto, Miranda is, according to Greenwald, a journalist.

        But he's not.

The UK didn't stop the publishing of journalism.

They detained a courier with stolen documents (and then released him).

Greenwald is a bullshitter and a liar.  He refuses to even once acknowledge that Snowden stole documents by the thousands and fled the country with them.  This is illegal whether they were government documents or the secret formula for Coca Cola.

        Theft is theft.

        •  he was acting as a courier between 2 journalists. (2+ / 0-)

and he was detained for terrorism because of it. that's what Glenn's saying. most thinking people know that.

listen, i know you hate him, but there's no ipso facto there. you just really really *really* want there to be. but sorry. your hatred of him does not make it so.

also, those were copies, not actual documents, so even the stolen "items" is a bit of a stretch. one could even go so far as to say that the only items that were stolen were those that the UK took from Miranda. if someone steals a famous painting and makes copies of it, you don't go around detaining anyone with a copy for possessing stolen goods.

but yes, you've made clear before that you just hate Glenn Greenwald. that's pretty much essentially all you are proving with your tripe.

say hi to Reggid for me. :D
