At the time of the election last year he was probably close to 350-400 lbs. He claims his Dr said he is the healthiest fat man he ever saw but it was bad enough that he had a procedure done to lose weight.
It would have been pretty hard running with someone that obese. Christie needs to lose a lot of weight if he wants to be elected president.

    •  Look: when you are that large, (0+ / 0-)

by definition you are not healthy.

We are so conflicted by weight and get so many mixed messages, it's no wonder we have issues. On one hand, we are told that beauty means being unnaturally thin, not just for models but anyone in the public eye. Look at actresses — the standards are grotesque. I could not believe it when I started reading how Jennifer Lawrence was considered heavy by Hollywood standards. I'd kill to have her body!

But on the other hand, you have people who have become so defensive about not being able to meet the standard that you not have "fat pride" groups and magazines and websites, which insist that obese people can be just as healthy as thin ones. Sorry but carrying around THAT much extra weight is in and of itself unhealthy. I know I get winded carrying up a large-size bucket of cat litter to my third floor apartment. Now imagine carrying that extra weight all the time!

When will we get to a happy middle?

But weight is not Christie's real problem. His obnoxious, insensitive, bullying  personality is. He and Mitt would have made such a great team. They would have come to blows before election day!
