...it could significantly damage his chances for the presidency in 2016, I my opinion.

Hopefully, Buono can at least get 45 percent in a heavily Democratic state, with a union representative, another woman and an African-American on her ticket with her (it seems to me that those groups could represent about five percent in an elected, if they get out in higher-than expected numbers?)

Am rooting for Buono to get 45 percent or better. That would take a lot of the sheen off of Christie.

    •  Afraid that is asking too much (1+ / 0-)

I see it 58-41 for Christie, just don't think Buono can break above the low 40s.

      •  that appears to be the case... (1+ / 0-)

...Buono's natural constituent groups would have to come out in vote in larger numbers than usual to get to 45 percent.

The only other thing giving me a tiny bit if hope is that in the past, for some reason, Democrats in New Jersey have tended to perform better on election day than pre-election polls show. Am not sure why, but traditionally, Republicans in New Jersey tend to do better in polling than they do on election day.

Of course, Christie is a different beast altogether, so...we'll see.
