    central PA.  A lot of those counties are lightly populated and filled with inelastically conservative voters who would rather vote against their own interests than vote Dem, and it's more likely that they would vote against a primary challenger to Toomey (for the gun bill) than vote for a Dem challenger.  For reference, this is Casey's 2012 reelection, where he was running against a candidate who was a half-step above Some Dude and vocally staked out some very hard right positions during the campaign, including having his own Todd Akin moment.

      My initial remark was about who he "represents", with the emphasis added, not who will vote for him.  

      To me he represents at most about 10% of  the state fully, the rest has some serious issues to hate him for.
