  •  I need to clarify some of your parents (0+ / 0-)

first, cap and trade. that vote was before the 2010 elections, no? I remember it being cited in Rick Boucher's defeat. so if that was the case it probably would have had a greater impact in 2010 than 2012.

second, Jack Conway lost by 11.47%, not 4-5%: http://results.enr.clarityelections.com/...

third, is there evidence that Chandler was lazier in 2012 than 2010?

lastly, I'd argue that Tierney's situation is actually worse than Chandler's. Unlike with Chandler, there's always the potential for another shoe to drop.

    •  I think he meant in KY-06, not statewide (0+ / 0-)

also does Tierney have a significant Republican challenger? He's likely to survive a clown-car primary.

my bad, then. I didn't realize that Obama lost the district by that much, but if that were the case it wouldn't destroy the comparison since the gubernatorial ticket usually underperforms the presidential candidates in Massachusetts.

also, last I heard Richard Tisei was considering a rematch.

        •  you're right, (0+ / 0-)

I thought he'd decided against it but he's not decided yet. He came close but I think he's now close to being a perennial candidate especially given how he lost after everyone had written Tierney off.
