  •  So, the real issue to think about is, (9+ / 0-)

when do you help a homeless person?  May be it is dependent on one of the following:

    You won't offer help when

    a. is a drug addict
    b. is an alcoholic
    c. is presumable having a mental health issue
    d. is considered  schizophrenic?

    Is that the case?

I have been wondering a lot about this lately but had not the heart and nerves to write a diary about it. But it is clear that the help a homeless person is ZERO from the side of individual persons with regards providing a place in their homes to stay, when one or more of the four points above, are at play.

There is no escape out of their homeless situation. No address, no place to store their few belongings (...you know those suspicious packages left somewhere ... aren't going to work. No place to sleep safely and warmly (as for shelters it's not safely either). No place to use restrooms or showers. No secured food every day, no safe place to sit on a bench, no nothing ...

When confronted as a private person to offer a homeless person a room to sleep, what are you makiing it dependent on, if you had that room available?

Is a drug addict, alcoholic or mentally disturbed person, not a person that has basic human rights and needs?

Who are you to judge ?

Couldn't you be in their place? No?

For me it's almost impossible to think, not to say, write about it. It's just too cruel what I have seen or researched so far. I can't handle it.
