    Schlicher does still have a chance because there are many outstanding votes.  It's not correct that the Seattle Mayor position is still in doubt.  Ed Murray clearly won and McGinn mostly conceded it.  Actually, it's been clear for weeks that Murray would win; the city already set up a transition office and people were tentatively designated to full transition postions.

      Statewide King county is always slow in counting ballots and I've assumed that is part of the reason why statewide liberal issues and candidates tend to improve in the days after the election. However, within Seattle liberals tend to improve also and even within Seattle that tends to be the case. It seems thus there is also a trend of liberal voters returning their ballots closer to election day. Hopefully that is the case in the Senate race as well.
