    There were four tonight, one for a State Senate seat and three for the State House.  Only one saw both parties field a candidate.  That is for SD-14, left open when State Senator Barry Loudermilk (whom I dis-affectionately refer to as "Sour Cream" resigned to spend more time campaigning for Congress.  The lone Democrat finished fourth out of five candidates, gaining 11.99% of the vote.  Not unexpected as this is crimson territory, but still, holy shit.
