I've been using the bus ever since I started my job, and this weekend I cut out store-bought chicken and went to veggie burgers. Plus around Halloween, after learning how palm oil production is killing orangutans, I swore off all chocolate except Hershey's and M&M's. Next up is to research where I can buy cruelty-free chicken eggs.

But again, I'm just one guy likely to be ridiculed and scoffed at by many people around him. Those distrustful of 'libruls' trying to make them 'feel guilty' and this is 'Murica, or something... I'm not fluent on dipshit.

I appreciate your intentions, but please know that trading out store bought chicken for veggie burgers accomplishes naught on the sustainability quotient. Yes, possibly the harm quotient as chickens (probably) don't die to make veggie burgers, but - processed veggie burgers are mass produced and as such contribute to the very thing you are presumably trying to stem. (Though possibly the same damn company that you buy veggie burgers from also owns an insanely dirty, nasty, painful chicken farm somewhere in its corporate portfolio.)

As to Hershey's and M&Ms, at least if you are going to buy chocolate buy fair trade quality chocolate in extremely minimal amounts. Do your stomach a favor and don't buy that soy lecithin processed barely any cocoa there stuff. No one is done any favors by supporting corporate 'food'.

I'm finally getting serious about nixing meat consumption after 30 years on this Earth. If there's some sort of guide that can help a guy in a Florida city nix some mega-corp food too with a little bit of effort, go on and point me toward it. No need to be a dick because I'm not immediately up to your standards in terms of lifestyle choices. I mean, part of the reason I use the bus is because I see no reason to plunk down dollars on a NEW CAR just yet. All this buzz about fuel cell cars hitting the market in 2015 makes me feel better about waiting.
