    so I'll have to take your word on the results.

    We had a measure on our local ballot to move municipal elections to even-year intervals (to coincide with statewide and Presidential elections). The primary reason was to save money by no longer having to open polling places for low turnout elections; the opponents were concerned about "uninformed voters" skewing results. It passed overwhelmingly (70%-30%), so it will be interesting to see if it might have the effect of increasing interest in municipal politics. (Might have to drag my butt down to City Hall once in a while for the council meetings.)

    But the main point is, when people vote, people win. And the only way to counteract the poison of corporate politics is to organize and vote.
