    Republicans, that's difficult to do (outside of the Democratic base, who are already with you) when it was proposed by the President and passed with a significant number of Democratic votes.

      claims credit for the Lilly Ledbetter Act, which was tossed out as a great accomplisment for about 4 years straight even though all he did was not veto a passed bill that was on his desk when he took office. Since he proposed the sequester and was involved in the game playng to get it done, including the catfood commission he proposed, and signed it, he really needds to claim credit for it too one would think.
