  •  no leadership on the dolphins (6+ / 0-)

its why they stink, and have stunk for a good long while now.  Kudos for suspending the guy, but the head coach all the way to Qb and the rest of his team mates have shown just how clueless they are in all of this. Instead of rallying around Martin, they rally around the asshole.

Pathetic team, pathetic leadership.  Tannenhill just showed that he doesnt have what it takes to be a leader. Philbin is just a meek mealy mouth, why anyone would follow or want him as a head coach is beyond me.  But what can you expect from cellar dwellers, they suck for a reason.

    •  Well, I can see how some of the players (6+ / 0-)

might not have known what was going on -- you've got your "cliques" in every team, and the linemen tend to be an insular group because they're seen as the "grunts" or workhorses, not getting as much press as the "elite" members of the offense like the QB or WRs or RBs who actually show up on the scoresheet. There are no stats for actually preventing the QB from getting sacked or opening the hole for the RB to score the TD.

But if the head coach and his assistants didn't know, that indicates a real lack of organizational control. And if they did know and condoned it by their silence, that's a definite sign that the fish rots from the head.

There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- goddammit, you've got to be kind. -- Kurt Vonnegut

      because he's a crybaby, and the Teawadhadji nutjobs don't consider him a wet-behind-the-ears temper-tantrum-throwing privileged @-hole.

A guy who works his tail off and makes it to an NFL team and is still "a nice kid" (which is what they used to say about Tony Romo, remember?) gets a bellyful of harassment, and he's the one to blame?

      Double standards R Us, apparently.
