In Texas? They suffer and die, while this blowhard gets all the health care he needs, along with his family, paid for by the uninsured!

Unlike the pope, for example, who has the grace to offer compassion and care to those who suffer.

I'm so tired of the selfishness and hypocrisy of the wingnuts in this country.

way is incredibly important. Even non-Christians and people who are against organized religion of all kinds can see that people look to the Pope as a world spiritual leader, or some kind of leader, and that his every move is extensively covered by the media. His every loving action, so extensively covered, has shined light on the selfish and uncaring behavior of other leaders. The contrast is glaring. I know people dislike Pope(s) because of their position and their church's position on many issues including birth control and Gay rights. I am only pointing out the tremendous good that may come from the same place as the more negative things many people dislike or find intolerable.

Disclosure: I am an agnostic and was not born into a Christian religion, but was raised around many Catholics.

I definitely don't see the Pope as a world spiritual leader or him having every loving actions....because if that were indeed true, he would give forth his riches to his followers. And he doesn't.

The Pope has rejected living in the usual lavish housing that Popes have lived in and he is driven around in a jeep. He also has been cracking down on Bishops who live like kings.

            From the Telegraph:

"The Pope broke with Vatican tradition when he decided, after being elected on March 13 during a secret conclave of cardinals, not to live in the apostolic apartments.

"Instead he opted to remain in the Casa Santa Marta, a Vatican residence which accommodates visiting clergy and lay people, where he had stayed with his fellow cardinals during the conclave."

He eats in the refrectory with everyone else.

He just suspended the Bishop of Bling for his lavish lifestyle at the expense of German taxpayers.

Is he living like Mother Theresa? Of course not. But how many of us do?

people like Burgess were proud slaveowners. In terms of their attitudes, nothing has changed.

The GOP can't win on ideas. They can only win by lying, cheating, and stealing. So they do.
