or millenials, or Gen Y, or what?

    All of us together?

Look I don't generally go in for intergenerational warfare. But if we're going to start slinging "worst generation" around, I'd maybe point fingers at the generation that was adult when they were first told about climate change in the late 70s, ignored it through the 80s, ignored it through the 90s, and basically wasted the window in which we could have preserved the world we grew up in. Oh, and also played a key role in driving the politics of this country to the right, and, in particular, invented NAFTA, the DLC, the Third Way, and the deregulation of the financial industry.

I was in my twenties in the 90s, and I'm willing to take some of the blame, but it's pretty clear to me that by the time I was 26--1994--it was all over bar the shouting. Since then it's just been like watching an old, old tree die slowly from the inside. And it's not like I stopped fighting--I kept fighting all the way up till 2010. But once the Democratic party became useless and money took over our political system, it became extremely difficult to say the least to get anything done around here. The previous generation could have stopped all of this. But they trooped after Reagan, and then after Clinton.

I tried to go online to find a similar bear head...but when I searched “Big Bear Head” it gave me a San Diego craigslist ad entitled “Big Bear needs some quick head now” and then I just decided to never go on the internet again.--Jenny Lawson
