  •  Read what Lara said. (0+ / 0-)

SHE, not me, labels it an "incident report."

"He denied that report..." (Para. 4)

"We did not know about that incident report before we did our story," Logan said. (Para. 7)

Asked why she continued to believe Davies after he admitted lying to his own employer, Logan said, "Because he was very up front about that from the beginning, that was always part of his story. And it -- the context of it, when he tells his story is that his boss is someone he cared about enormously. He cared about his American counterparts in the mission that night, and when his boss told him not to go, he couldn't stay back. So that was always part of the record for us. And that part didn't come as any surprise." (Para. 8)

Lara knew "from the beginning" her source had lied when reporting to his employer.

Using your option, the only thing Lara didn't know was that  a formal paper trail had been created of his incident report.

"When I use a word," Humpty Dumpty (Antonin Scalia, John Boner, or Scotty Walker (pick your favorite) said in rather a scornful tone, "it means just what I choose it to mean -- neither more nor less."

      •  CBS knew all along it was a deliberate HOAX. (0+ / 0-)

Lara and her producer (Executive "News" Director) knew "from the beginning" they had a star liar.

Yet for over a week Deny, Deny, Deny was their answer.

They tried to use the power of the CBS name to deny and stonewall...

UNTIL THEY DISCOVERED THERE WAS A PAPER TRAIL.

And now they apologize, but only to their "viewers," and only after Lindsey Graham, Faux Noise, and other Wingnuts pushed the lie constantly through the media.

CBS News owes a huge and very public apology to President Obama, the Obama Administration, and Secretary Clinton.

"When I use a word," Humpty Dumpty (Antonin Scalia, John Boner, or Scotty Walker (pick your favorite) said in rather a scornful tone, "it means just what I choose it to mean -- neither more nor less."
