Uhm...there's no delicate way to say this....and I don't want to offend my African American associates here on dkos, but I need to ask something so if I offend by accident please forgive my mistake.

Has this idiot been taking lessons from that idiotic and incredibly....well...racist movie from the 80's we call Soul Man? You know were C.Thomas Howell plays the rich white guy who pretends to be black so he can get a fancy scholarship to law school, cheats a girl out of said scholarship (and ends up with her in the end; because, you know, white guy learns what it means to be black)

It just reeks of an entitlement mentality that he thinks lying about his race is fine because he's running against an African American in, you know, a district where they were the majority.

I really feel like kicking this guy in the balls.

The Eddie Murphy movie, The Distinguished Gentleman.

He pretended to be whatever ethnic group lived in the area he was campaigning in and conned his predominantly white southern district that he was the conservative white incumbent who had been in office for years.

but that does seem a better comparison.
