    This is an endemic problem, as prosecutors and cops need "good arrests" and convictions to further themselves and will go to any length to achieve these goals, especially with POC.

    Also, the fact that, almost everywhere, a cop can lie to a suspect and say anything to get them to confess to a crime leads to so many innocent people going to jail. Not to mention grueling interrogations and withholding of basic comforts for hours and hours. These cops who do this and get false convictions and prosecutors who do same should be severely punished every time it is proven, especially in death penalty cases.
