    in real science.  In fact, I would say that because you and others are asking these questions which have been discussed on sites like facebook, reddit.com, hometheaterforum.com, and elsewhere is because the film touches a nerve.

    And even when it gets things wrong, it is our overwhelming interest in science that gets people to discuss it.

    I would contend just starting that discussion makes it pretty worthwhile ;)

      I concur. But we science fiction fans are also the first to complain when science fiction writers get basic facts wrong, and really complain when someone is writing science fiction without admitting it.

      I repeat, I loved the movie and am recommending it, but reserve the right not nitpick. :-)

      Just another underemployed IT professional computer geek.
