  •  Here is how dire things are... The dental bill wil (7+ / 0-)

be around $2000.  The amount raised thus far is $570.  This cat was abused, lost an eye due to that and is sick because her teeth are in horrible condition.  We adopted a cat like this who ultimately lost ALL of her teeth.  If the teeth are bad, they must go or the cat will perish.   Please help!

rescue they've had to need extensive dental work as well, nannyboz.

My sweet Clide (may he rest in peace) had ALL of his teeth removed due to severe stomatitis.  We adopted him from a kill shelter when he was 14, surrendered 3 days before Christmas 2010.  I don't know how long he lived with this terrible issue with his mouth and teeth, and I've always believed that the chronic inflammation led to the oral cancer that eventually took him from me.  :(

My "foster" Henry had all but 6 of his teeth removed.  Chances are the remaining teeth will have to go soon as well, unfortunately - but it will enable a much happier, healthier longer life for him.
