    where Christie did not express an opinion on national issues.  He was on four shows this morning, and on every one, he took the same tactic:  I'm not going to express opinions on national matters now because I'm governor of New Jersey, and over the next year (I think he actually said "next year" once) that's my focus, not the national issues.  

    Politically, that was a calculated decision, I'm sure, and probably politically smart for him to do if he has Presidential aspirations (which he clearly does).  This gives him another year to see where the country and the Republican party are before he has to commit himself to positions.
