  •  It is reported in Snowden's documents that NSA (0+ / 0-)

hid literally thousands of violations from the congress, the courts and the PRESIDENT. The spying on world leaders was done by an illegal unregistered spy ring.  Read your Snowden. Obama thought he was putting checks in place but Snowden said he could get around them all and listen to whomever he pleased.  Why is it so important for some of you to ignore what is in  front of your face, courtesy of Snowden. You don't have evidence of lying,. You have evidence of obstruction by private contractors put in place by Bush. You are so determined to blame Obama that you will miss the forest from the trees.  Presidents are briefed and advised.  Obama was not, deliberately. He can not conjure up violations that are deliberately hidden. But of course, Obama is evil all powerful or incredibly dumb. It was done by your good ole boys and libertarians. The racists don't want the kenyan socialist to have access to all of their white male only doings. They will take this country down to thwart Obama and many of you are their henchmen. WAKE UP!  It is amazing the fringe left sounds just like the fringe right.

Apparenly he doesn't have control over his agencies.

      That's good to know.

Equating the left with the right doesn't make your argument any less absurd.

      •  You have defended Snowden but chose to ignore (0+ / 0-)

all that info. It is contained within Snowden's documents. The president didn't know. And yes, you sound exactly like the tea party. This is not some spin, these are facts contained within in Snowden's documents.  You are a victim of  an hallucinatory ideology and a fantasized Obama. For you Obama is what you imagine, not the man. These arguments and accusations are absurd. You don't give a damn about facts.

I am a leftist and have been so for decades. The left deals  in objective reality, or as the claim goes here, reality based. Your's is some fringe version of the left, saturated in libertarianism.

        •  And you have been afflicted (0+ / 0-)

with a mild case of argumentum ad hominem, it appears.

And have admitted the president's incompetence in leading the agencies under his purview. You refused to answer two fundamental questions I asked of you the other day, and since you refused, I do not take anything you say seriously. It seems few, if any, others aren't either.

You're telling me I don't give a damn about facts, yet you have, in every single diary that questions the president, especially on this issue, ignored the facts and made excuse after excuse for him.

He's a grown man, the President of the United States, yet people like you insist, despite everything that's happened since last June, to run around on blogs trying to protect his good name.

Please, just step aside. Your projection is tiresome. No one's buying your propaganda.

          •  The facts are in the documents. The facts are that (0+ / 0-)

thousands of violations were hidden  from the congress, the courts and the president. This is a diary about what the president knew.  Snowdens documents say he did not know. The facts are that Bush contractors have burrowed into NSA. According to your ODS, that is the president's fault and an expression or his incompetence. All of your arguments  against the president are ad hominem. All you have are suppositions and name calling but you refuse to consider the documents.

Again, this diary is about "what the president knew' not your opinion or suppositions. It is also not about some inane comment you made the other day. You are the one invested in ideology and propaganda. Right wing noise.

            •  It very much is about 'some inane comment' (0+ / 0-)

I made the other day, because that comment asked you two questions directly related to the same topic this diary discusses: what the president knew.

              Here's my comment/questions again:

              Two questions, then...

              1) Why isn't the President thanking Snowden and welcoming him back, since he's "learning from him?" You'd think he'd show his appreciation in a little less antagonist manner.

              2) If the President does not approve of these programs, why do they continue? He has the power to change course, as these agencies are under his purview.

This is NOT "another instance of obstruction and undermining the president." You're trying to blame the victims here, while letting the person who's ultimately responsible, the President, off the hook.

Sorry, no one's buying your propaganda.

              Here's your comment for context.

You can call me a right winger or teabagger or whatever you want. You're on the losing end of this argument, plain and simple.

              •  Like I said this diary is not about your inane (0+ / 0-)

comment. Your questions are irrelevant which is why I didn't answer. I will not pretend to know when and how the president will handle these reveals. I know there are investigations. NSA violations and overreach will have to be unwound. This is not OZ and will not happen overnight. I don't know what programs, as discussed in this diary, are  continued or discontinued and neither do you.

I am sure the president is so grateful to Snowden for releasing
this information undermining his administration and the country's foreign policy. This is what Snowden and Greenwald wanted as good libertarians. To take down 'evil gubment'. I am sure they were hoping no one would pay attention to the details of who knew what when. Greenwald has been screaming that to anyone who will listen. Snowden's  actions were,at the very least, criminal.

What propaganda? This diary ,I repeat, is about what the president knew. These agencies were not acting under his purview, but were rogue  obstructionists and  did not provide the president with the information that was his due. Again according to your friend Snowden! I know you believe the president is capable of some sort of Vulcan mind melt and can somehow extract that which is hidden from his 'victims'. Alexander perhaps?. Where is the propaganda? Oh that's right it's you and your ODS.

    •  Which is why Obama immediately fired NSA chief (4+ / 0-)
