    Makes me think of a trip to NYMoma several years ago. I can remember a bunch of speakers set up for one installation, in a semi-circle, I think. They were broadcasting unremarkable, burbling conversation. It was chatter, apparently party noise, which slowly got louder, though you could never make out the words. It crescendoed to sound sublime.

    Also made me recall the music for "2001: A Space Odyssey," and the other-worldly granite monolith the inspector is "not at liberty to discuss."
