is to call the cops every time they assemble one of their firing squads in public. And not just one person, but everyone that sees it going down, call 911.
In Texas, they were clearly breaking the law, open carry is illegal there, and if the cops had been called, that entire gang would have been disarmed FOR LIFE.
Do that a few times, the word would get out and they will stop using that bullying tactic.

If I ran this circus, things would be DIFFERENT!

    •  A few points.... (6+ / 0-)

      1.  "assemble one of their firing squads in public."?  Really?  Hyperbolic, much?  They have the Constitutional Rights inherent in both the First and Second Amendments.  That they used both at once, in a peaceful, lawful (see below) manner does not equate to "firing squads".

      2.  Open carry of long guns is quite lawful in Texas.  The police apparently were called, a few came by, nothing happened because no laws were broken.

      3.  And that pretty much negates "call the cops every time they assemble", both from a practical view-point, and a making-false-police-reports viewpoint.

      4.  "Do that a few times, the word would get out....", and they'ed love to be seen as oppressed martyrs to their cause.  You couldn't give them better publicity if you tried.  Or better law-suit material.

      Your hate-mail will be graded.

It ended with VCDL packing some city council meetings and a few lawsuits.  It generated publicity for the cause but that was about it.
