  •  I remember what you were referring to. The (0+ / 0-)

immigration reform package where him and Durbin had to remove the section for same-sex immigrant couples.  I can understand being hard on him about that but I would go after Lindsey Graham for that.  He threatened to derail it completely and he's done that to other bills.  Remember the energy and environmental bill him, Kerry, Boxer and Lieberman were working on back in late 2009, early 2010?  Well he was sincere about it and it could've passed but he completely derailed that to stop the DREAM Act from happening.  Franken deserves some criticism, sure, but between allowing Graham to kill it entirely or have to make that tough call, I probably would've done the same thing Franken did.

    •  No, (maybe I should insert an apology here, (0+ / 0-)

      but I won't.)

I have no control, input, nothing I can say to a republican to change their minds.

I'm a member of the Democratic Party all my life (I may switch to Independent), but the republicans are who they are, I can't change that, but I can advocate for issues with my own Party.  If they're too weak to fight, I try to help, but I can only do so much.

And the Dems had the opportunity to change the filibuster in 2009 and 2010, but they didn't.  It's their fault.
