    What he's doing is engaging in an effort to get those last few votes, by trying to build public pressure.

      I get your point but let's stop with the threats.  Give us names to the Dems that are dragging their feet.  Maybe we can help change a few doubtful minds.

        He's the only one who's gone public, and he's clearly starting to crack.

        The leadership hasn't been releasing the names of the holdouts, so it's tough to say exactly who else.

        What good is "the nuclear option," or the threat thereof, if the Republicans know you'll never use it?  And if you would invoke it, what would you have to lose  -  certainly not their cooperation?

      yada yada yada.  Reid will never go along with filibuster reform.  Too many feelings would be hurt.  I'll bet if and when Repubs get control the Dems will be cut completely out of filibusters, holds and everything else that might slow them down and it will be done withing minutes of the session opening.
