    And the federal government is footing 100% of the cost for now.  The ACA also cut payments to hospitals for unreimbursed care since Medicaid would be paying for more of it.  So, many folks had incentives to increase Medicaid enrollment.

      Previously, to qualify for Medicaid, you need the following:
      1. low income (very low- below FPL)
      2. have kids (in most states)
      3. have little or no assets (in most states)

      Obamacare got rid of all the other requirements, except for the < 133% FPL income requirement.
