And I'll go out on a limb and say the handwringing around here about it was unwarranted. Thanks for keeping things in perspective.

Why do I have the feeling George W. Bush joined the Stonecutters, ate a mess of ribs, and used the Constitution as a napkin?

The handwringing is really not warranted.  A month ago there was virtual celebration at the gains "we" will have in 2014 due to the extreme reckless behavior of the Repubs during the shutdown and the threat of default.  Now the media is focused on how unpopular Obama is and how Obamacare is a disaster.

      Get a grip people.

The website will be fixed and Obamacare will fail or succeed based on if it helps or hurts people.

In the meantime, we are going to have another continuing resolution showdown and another debt limit showdown.  It's hard to imagine Republicans screwing it up as bad as they did last time but, you know what, they are going to think they have new leverage due to the poll numbers.  They might just take another stab at forcing another shutdown.

That's why I would suggest Democratic leadership come up with a poll supported plan that is an alternative to the sequester level spending.  They can then say "Look, this is what we want, but we are not threatening to shut down the government to get it.  The Republicans want to make the following changes and ARE willing to shutdown the government to get their way.  That's the difference between a responsible governing party and the Republicans."

strongly agree with icebergslim's comment above regarding the pathetic communications job the Administration has done.

ACA is essentially trying to reorganize 16% of the economy - it's a huge step and, like Social Security and Medicare before it, it is going to hit a lot of snags.  But these snags - fueled by the vociferous opposition and outrageous lies from the Republicans - has been allowed the hand wringing to get way out of hand because of lack of effective communications.

The most violent element in society is ignorance.
