There would be a way to undo a law passed by the Repugs in response to an initiative that would not require a Democratic legislature.  A bill enacted in the way described would still be subject to a referendum or initiative petition.  These types of campaigns are not inexpensive, but a second petition drive could be used which would allow the electorate to vote on the issue which was the subject of the first petition that was enacted by the Repugs.

    •  THAT was what I was hoping to hear. So, another (0+ / 0-)

petition could be circulated to get the whole thing on the 2014 ballot? That could help us with turnout, too.

      •  So Another Petition Could Be Circulated? (0+ / 0-)

There are two ways -- a referendum petition which requires less signatures, but which would require, in this instance, gathering signatures more quickly or an initiative petition -- in this instance more signatures and more time to collect signatures.
