    that "dangerous tornadoes" in the midwest in November, is also a sign of a rapidly warming planet. This does not happen normally this time of the year, correct?

      what we do know is that warmer, moister air resulting from the warming of the globe leads to a more unstable atmosphere. If you throw in the one additional necessary ingredient: an active, twisting jet stream, this is the sort of thing you get. We don't know precisely how climate change will influence the seasonal and regional behavior of the jet stream, but if you're a betting person---given what we already know--it is better than even odds that we could see more of these sorts of events...
