    I've spent a lot of hours impaling roach bodies and leaving them out on toothpick pikes to discourage others from entering. It doesn't work, but is amusing.
    Not impaling them (though that's a nice touch), but leaving corpses in place on the way out the door in hopes that the carnage encourages others to vacate to another apartment (sorry neighbors).

    Really descriptive writing. We will not need a Crane, Dreiser, Dos Passos, Steinbeck, et al to chronicle this period's descent into oligarchic insanity and its attendant mass despair via the new literary naturalism. With a much more broadly and deeply educated, more literate population, many of us can participate as the chroniclers of the new gilded age's destruction. Many more of us than not are one or two paychecks away from very similar scenarios anyway.
