    you realize that unless you have a lapse in coverage - you are covered for what you have.  Passing what you are suggesting would really be to get rid of the ACA - or a major part of it.  Do you really think someone who is sick gives a crap about Republicans or Democrats?

      How would this get rid of a major part of the ACA?

      What are we talking ... a max of 3% of the population?  That from what I read is the percentage of people who currently have insurance, who won't be eligible for subsidies that would make a higher quality policy equal to or less than what they're currently buying.

      Of that 3% ... I'm betting 65% of them will realize once they're on the exchanges the value of what they're buying thanks to the ACA ... and will also not want to expose themselves to future recissions, denial of coverage, etc.

      So we might have 1% of the American public taking this "out" from the ACA.  That's significant, of course - but it's not going to get rid of the ACA.

      Down the road those stupid SOBs can come back to beg to be included in the ACA.  And some proper tax penalty, etc, can be devised to hit them with as a precursor for doing so.
