    Origins for both languages is in Old Norse out of the Germanic branch of the language tree.

    P.S.  Ojibwa is a man.  I've seen photos of him in some of the DK gatherings.

      Was confusing (Mr) Ojibwa with (Ms) Navajo, perhaps; or maybe just my assumption that the most interesting posts generally come from women.

        It's easy to get confused with a genderless sig or if a person has not indicated gender in their profiles.  I've even been called a man (altho how a Shakespearean nonsense word that's also used as a grandmother's title at times is difficult to understand for me).

        If you've seen the pix of Ojibwa or of navajo, you'll know that each is a very attractive person for different reasons, but each has a wonderful smile and warm eyes.

        I've read interesting posts and comments by both women and men, so I'm an equal opportunity appreciator of good wordsmiths.  :-)
