  •  With the huge number of corporations... (0+ / 0-)

... performing government functions, I'd say Corporatism (aka Fascism) has very tightly gotten it's claws into the present and it can only get worse in the future if our Cretinous Congress Critters do not repeal, IN FULL, the AUMFs, Patriot Acts, MCA '06, FISA fiasco '08, MCA '09.  While they're at it, they need to repeal and invalidate, the illegal and unconstitutional executive order that set up the 'office of faith-based initiatives' to run out of the White House that Dumbya started with one of his first executive orders (Obama continued it and increased their budget and expanded it - one would think a con law prof would hesitate to violate the First Amendment's separation of church and state).  No, not 'fix' a paragraph here or there, but REPEAL IN FULL those illegal and unconstitutional laws.

There is nothing in the US Constitution that allows Congress to transfer their war powers and ability to pay for wars to the executive branch.  There is nothing in the US Constitution that allows Congress or the Executive branch to take away our rights and our habeas corpus (there is a clause for two reasons to temporarily suspend habeas corpus, but neither one has existed in the last 13 years and there is nothing anywhere in the US Constitution or US law to take away habeas corpus entirely as MCA '06 did.  SCOTUS allegedly declared that part unconstitutional, but Congress has not officially repealed that unconstitutional law.

Most of those illegal and unconstitutional laws came with expiration dates BECAUSE they are illegal and unconstitutional and everyone knows it.  Instead of letting this garbage expire, they've extended deadlines (much to my horror).  So..., why is it taking so long to get around to repealing the illegal and unconstitutional laws???  Do they want us to get used to having no rights so corporations can come in and change or amend the US Constitution so those rights are taken away from us permanently?

Citizens United needs to be overturned.  Corporations that were given personhood rights needs to be overturned.

So, WTF is taking our Cretinous Congress Critters so long to repeal those unconstitutional and illegal laws???

I'm not the least bit afraid of criminals, so preaching "oogly boogly boo, the ter'rists are comin' to getcha" doesn't work on me.  Where I live there's nothing to blow up that would harm lots of people (lots of squirrels or birds and trees perhaps).  Out in the dingtoolies the only thing to fear is drunk drivers or drivers who text or talk on their phones while driving (those I AM afraid of!).  I can see where people in large cities would heed brainwashing about fearing the unknown, but that doesn't work where populations are sparse.

Given the climate of fear in big cities, we need ALL of our rights returned to us.  We're all in this boat together and in a time of crisis we need to cling to the one thing that unites all of us: the US Constitution and our guaranteed rights.  No one should EVER take our rights away from us, and I consider the fact that Cretinous Congress Critters have done so to be illegal and unconstitutional.  Period.

I'm sick of attempts to steer this nation from principles evolved in The Age of Reason to hallucinations derived from illiterate herdsmen. ~ Crashing Vor
