    there are two different comments both getting a pile on of hide rates for this kind of thing, in regards to Katherine Harris' deceased husband.

    Now, "he shouldn't RIP" isn't quite the same as "I don't blame him for killing himself", but it still ain't cool.

      though among the civility police I detect at least one who, iirc, has been known to toss pastry for swearing. I have a copy of Kos latest "definitive" faq and it says nothing about respecting the dead so long as they aren't lefties, so I still have no answer, except that some people take it upon themselves to enforce this non-rule for inexplicable reasons.

          course, that's only true when it it isn't false, as in the zillions of dead forlk who routinely get disrespected here, not merely those long dead, either. So, one can pretend that rule applies, but cannot justify it, because it is not remotely uniformly applied with respect to, for example, speaking bad of Stalin, Mussolini, or, much more recently Hugo Chavez, shortly after his death.
