    20-25K simultaneous, even if it takes an hour to sign up and get a policy, you're looking at about 200,000 policies during the peak day hours, and maybe another 100,000 off peak.  That's about 10 times the number, in 1 day, that signed up for all of October.  If the Obama people don't start releasing numbers like that, they'd be fools.

      Simply because signing it is never a streamlined process.

      Bear in mind that people will return to the site many, many times in to work on their application, to consider different policies and to review prices -- before completing their application, let alone enrolling.

      Considering that most working people will probably try to log on during the evening or weekend, a capacity of 20–25k seems woefully inadequate.

      I wonder how many simultaneous users needs to handle?
