    witnesses to Thomas's sexual harassments.

    Also, Thomas got the job for his implacable hatred for Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity. Reagan appointed him to assist in destroying enforcement of Affirmative Action in the Education Department, and then put him in charge of destroying all enforcement at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. All of this should have been discussed.

    If Democrats won't filibuster a judge as dreadful as Thomas, whom do we actually oppose? Bork was borked, yes. Anybody else?

      ... is use of the filibuster. I don't think even Robert Bork was filibustered. The Senate vote was 42-58 against him, with several moderate Republicans departing Reagan's nominee.

      Bork - for all his many faults - was a respected scholar (in antitrust law), by accounts a good teacher and able advocate, and a very smart man. Clarence Thomas is none of those.

      2014 IS COMING. Build up the Senate. Win back the House : 17 seats. Plus!
