"To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public." T. Roosevelt

And then loyally stood by George during the trial, but

She told Matt Lauer on NBC's Today Show on Thursday she doesn't know what he's capable of and she's conflicted over her husband's assertion he acted in self-defense the night Martin was killed.

Ms Zimmerman has acted in her own self interest every step of the way.

I'll reserve my sympathies for George's numerous other victims.

So if you get hit by a bus tonight, would you be satisfied with how you spent today, your last day on earth? Live like tomorrow is never guaranteed, because it's not. -- Me.

reportedly the new GF. I think his wife smartened up.

That's why I don't understand why we should be sympathetic toward Shellie. If she had pressed charges after GZ battered Shellie and her dad, maybe George would have been in prison instead of beating up the new girlfriend.

married to and abused by the likes of Zimmerman the ticking time bomb. Doesn't matter if she stood by him before and acted in own self interest or perjured self. Sympathy is like love, it expands to go around. I'm sympathetic only to her not being beat up by her husband as I don't think anyone should have to pay that price including in prison.

I am not sure how that quote gives evidence to support what you say. She believed him initially and came to see maybe he wasn't trustworthy. That seems pretty normal for a spouse. Most people would initially believe their spouse that they were defending themselves, I'd think and not want to believe he/she's a murderer of an unarmed kid. People marry bad people all of the time and find out too  late.

Apparently we are told below that this was a different woman, his girlfriend anyway.

a girlfriend. That adds further affirmation of his low character as he's doing it with yet another person. Didn't seem to have learned much at all from his arrest. Not surprising. Paying (prison time) would have helped him, ironically.
