    The Republican party is a cult.  They've developed their own language, by which they can recognize each other and mark themselves off from the unwashed masses. "Socialist," "Muslim," etc., merely serve the purpose of establishing rapport with other right-leaning types, rather than identifying actual political or religious systems of thought.  Those who in the cult need de-programming to function in the real world again.

      have been central to RW propaganda at least since Lee Atwater.

      His racist pitches for Bush41 drew in paranoids, overwhelmingly. Then the after-campaign analysts started taking outright lies seriously.

      Republicans have two "tent pole" propaganda assets:

      -- Abortion

      -- Ronald Reagan

      Going beyond that, it's one hoax after another. It's tempting to see the victims as a cult.

      They're not supposed to talk to Democrats.
