    how the police responded to the “intrusion” of a student into the “rights” of the speaker of hate.  However, the question of what “rights” said speaker is reasonably afforded and that the rights of the opposition is afforded the same protection.  I don't question a citizen's right to speak freely on any issue, as the Constitution dictates, but they don't have the right to use Draconian methods to suppress the speech of the legitimate opposition.  Protecting a speaker's rights against violent response toward their positions (hateful or not) is the duty of the police.  That duty does not extend to protecting the speaker's ideology, in fact, the duty is to protect the speech of the opposition's point of view with equal diligence.
