      it had nothing to do with the original Thanksgiving.  I suspect the cartoonist lives there, but I  have no way of knowing and there appears to be no clues on the web.  To most people seeing the cartoon, the name of the town would have no significance at all.

      But more likely is that you were commenting on the whole settlement/expansion issue and not anything about the town.

      Moving sideways quite a bit, this cartoon would work for the Palestine area of the MidEast, just as well as for the settlement of America by Europeans.
